5 Delicious Recipes to Make With Traeger Rubs

‘Tis the season for Traeger Rubs! Actually, no matter the season, Traeger Rubs are an excellent way to spice up traditional recipes or take you on a flavorful adventure to create new dishes. There are so many ways to use the Traeger Rubs, so we’ve put together five of our most delicious recipes for you to try here.

Traeger Rub Recipes

BBQ Pulled Turkey Sandwiches

It may feel like you’ve been eating a lot of turkey lately, but we’re guessing you haven’t had it quite like this. Season the turkey (thighs work best) with the Traeger Pork & Poultry Rub then smoke it on one of Traeger’s wood-fire grills. Once the meat is done, we recommend using the Traeger Signature BBQ sauce for an unforgettably flavorful pulled turkey sandwich. See the full recipe here.

Cowgirl Cut Smoked Steak

This reverse-seared cowgirl cut steak recipe is compliments of Lydia Mondavi. Perfect for a NY or rib-eye steak, start off with the Traeger Beef Rub and smoke for about an hour, then increase the heat and sear for optimal juiciness and flavor. See the full recipe here.

Grilled Shrimp Cocktail

This seafood dish is super easy and quick to make and is just bursting with flavor. Feel free to get creative with your favorite Traeger Rub (we like the Leinenkugel's Summer Shandy Rub or the Fin & Feather Rub), and if your friends and family are lucky you might even share a few of these tasty shrimp with them. See the full recipe here.

Roasted Sausage Stuffed Acorn Squash

This dish is filled with a delicious medley of veggies and can be prepared for vegetarians or meat lovers (just add a pound of Italian sausage). Try adding a few shakes of the Traeger Veggie Rub for some additional seasoning with fresh herbs, garlic, paprika and chili pepper that will have you and your dinner guests salivating. See the full recipe here.

Italian Beef Pinwheels

This recipe puts a creative and meaty spin on a beloved dish that’s perfect for appetizers, luncheons and parties. Instead of a tortilla to hold it all together, the recipe creator - Bennie Kendrick - used smoked skirt steak seasoned with the Traeger Prime Rib Rub. Add some spinach, Havarti and Provolone cheeses, and sundried tomatoes then bake and this dish will be ready to roll. See the full recipe here.
