So, you can see that we have terrific products for your stores, but we also want to share some of the steps we intend to take to make 2020 the best it can be for Crawford Outdoor and our dealers.

Planning Out Your Demos

  1. Know your product inside and out. No presentation is going to make a difference unless the demonstrator knows his or her stuff. This idea is especially true if the product has been revised or changed in any way.
  2. Learn all you can about the product, your potential customers, the brand's company, and the person or group to whom you will be talking.  Have a plan and rehearse it.
  3. Have a little something extra you can give your customers as a reminder (and for advertising). Crawford Outdoor can provide POP items, such as a brochure about the product or a catalog of other products along the same lines. Having open rubs that people can taste test with crackers or pretzels is a great way to get people to sample the product so they add them to their other purchases. 

MarketingWeek reports that product demonstrations are a version of people buying from people. Stats say that 41 percent of shoppers who see a demo of a product go on to buy it from the store.

The Crawford Demo Calendar 

Think about brainstorming to come up with new ideas when it comes to introducing new products or showing a group of customers how a particular product works. There is no stopping a dealer who has seen a Traeger Grill demonstration. Once they understand the ins and outs of the grills, they can demonstrate it, as well. That's why Crawford Outdoor wants to let you know about any demo days that occur near enough for our dealers to attend. Heck, the value of seeing a Traeger grill in use is worth the gas costs or the plane ticket you would need to get to it.

Hook Up With A Local Home Show

Do an online search, and you will find that local home shows are taking place in and around your store location. The Greater Kansas City Home Show, sponsored by the Home Builders Association of Greater Kansas, is preparing now for shows next year! Find a show near you to become an exhibitor and use the opportunity to meet with thousands of area homeowners interested in what you are selling.

And Don't Forget These Extras

Cook up a great meal for firefighters in your town using your BBQ Hack elements. Order early and use Early Buy programs or add Point of Purchase products when you are ordering from Crawford. Use holidays and seasons to assist you with your annual marketing plan.
